Great quality. Hooks up great and provides a solid mount.
Thought I'd take a chance .
Glad I did, works great with no issues.
Great for the price, holds up good
Sentinel V3 RedDot – Best Value Enclosed Emitter, Large Window,
The Sentinel V3 is an exceptional good RedDot and I’m compared with the Evolution Gear ACRO P2, since both red dots are enclosed emitter designs and use the ACRO footprint, making them compatible with many pistols. However, support for offset mounts on rifles is still somewhat limited.
Advantages over the Evolution Gear ACRO P2:
The window is larger, and the housing edges are slim enough that you don’t get the “tunnel effect” typical of the ACRO. Combined with its shorter overall length, this results in a noticeably better field of view.
Additionally, the Sentinel V3 features an adjustable reticle with both a circle and dot option. Another key advantage is the use of tougher 7075 aluminum and a more scratch-resistant coating. This becomes very noticeable with heavier use. In comparison, the ACRO tends to scratch relatively quickly, and its 6068 aluminum feels significantly “softer.”

Solar Backup
The red dot also includes a solar backup system, which works surprisingly well. Even with the battery removed, the optic remains functional under sunlight. However, pressing a button will turn it off. Brightness is directly influenced by ambient sunlight.
The motion sensor is another great feature: the optic shuts off when not in use and instantly turns on when you pick up the firearm. I really appreciate this functionality.

Recoil and Zero
So far, I’ve tested it on a 9mm pistol with a compensator. The optic has handled several hundred rounds without issue and also performed flawlessly during a full-day pistol class.
The adjustment clicks are very tactile and clearly audible, and the zero has remained stable with no shift so far.

Comparison with the Holosun 507 Comp
The reticle of the Sentinel V3 strongly reminds me of the Holosun 507 Comp. I’ve taken comparison photos of both optics and their reticles so that others can get a sense of color rendering and dot sharpness.
The photos were taken facing the sun, with sunlight coming from a slightly elevated angle onto the optics. The Sentinel was set to brightness level 9 out of 11, while the Holosun was set to 7 out of 10. The Holosun can get noticeably brighter than the Sentinel.
That said, I still think the Sentinel does a very good job overall and is extremely hard to beat in terms of price-to-performance.

Suggestions for Improvement:
• Enlarge the battery compartment to support a CR2032
• Increase maximum brightness of the dot
• Reduce the height from base to window from 10 mm to around 6 mm (if possible), to allow better co-witnessing with standard pistol sights
Holds zero well after multiple uses. Solid performance so far.
