They are designed with direct input from US Warfighters at the very tip of the sharp stick. These designs are refined until they reach perfection and are then masterfully crafted in specprecision’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.
The Specprecision L4G30 Mount System is a permanent mount design, developed at the request of special operations units who wanted the lowest profile, lightest weight helmet mount solution. The Specprecision L4G30 does not have a detachable mount. The entire system is permanently assembled. It features all the same adjustment ranges found in traditional Wilcox designs, but sits closer to the helmet surface.
Another great feature of the Specprecision Wilcox L4 G30 is that it cantilevers the NVG out in front of your head instead of over it (like the standard issue mounts). This reduces your profile and makes it easier to judge your height when entering and exiting vehicles or moving through windows and doorways.
Please note that L4G30 Mounts utilize a proprietary dovetail interface and are not compatible with USGI bayonet plugs. We carry the full line of Wilcox Interface Shoes that will retrofit your NVG system to be compatible with your Wilcox Mount.
