My VMX-3T Sight Magnifier is an outstanding addition. It is accurate & easy to install. My only complaint is that the tilt button is awkwardly placed when reversed for a right handed shooter.

Mounted this to a .308 with a Sig red dot magnifier. In magnifier mode it works much like a scope and the 1moa dots and hairs help to consistently hit the 300 yard plate at the range. Up close without the magnifier its easy to hit a nice small bullseye at 50yards. The Quadplex reticle with bullet drops really makes this a versatile setup for up close and far away shots.

I like how wide the window is, it makes it very easy to find the dot. The more oval shape is a little bit narrower height than something like the SRO though.
The coating makes the glass super clear with minimal reflections. There is zero distortion near the edges of the housing. I notice on the SRO and RMR there is a bit of distortion/lensing effect near the edges. I'm not sure if that means there is more parallax at the edges of the Romeo that affect accuracy when the dot is at the edge? I just keep the dot centered in the window and it seems to work beautifully and stays zeroed.

I have an astigmatism so it’s a little star bursty for me, even with my glasses on but so what?You look at the target, not the red dot!When you’re looking at a target at any distance, the red dot is excellent and 2 moa.Any review saying “it’s not a solid dot” has eye problems. The unit is amazing.Auto on. Auto off.Excellent.Added some pics of 7.5” AR pistol at 25 yards using this great red dot.

It was certainly a good choice. The RMR is a little smaller than my Leupold but it feels much more robust. Once it was mounted on my Sig I went out in the rain to train with it to see how it worked when wet. No problems at all. I even got some mud on it but that wasn’t a problem. With both eyes open I was able to superimpose the red dot where I wanted it to hit and it worked flawlessly even with the sight window being covered.The only thing that I don’t like is that I can’t lock the brightness and it stay at that setting. After 8 hours it goes back to automatic setting. So far, inside and outside, daylight and darkness, the automatic setting has worked fine. However, I would like for it to stay at the setting I set it at without changing unless I want it to change.One of the other things I did was add a Bobro backup sight mount to the weapon so I can add a suppressor height front sight and use them for backup sights. That is a big plus in my book.The RMR is rugged and reliable. That is what you need in a gunfight or just to shoot better on the range.
