6063 aluminum body is lightweight but sturdy. No wobble after multiple games. The green chevron is great for quick target pickup in daylight, while the red works fine for darker outdoor games. Looks and feels close to real steel optics.

Build quality is top notch. CNC aluminum housing feels bulletproof compared to cheap polymer caps. The O-ring keeps dust out—ran it in a sandy environment and lenses stayed clean. Zero wobble once mounted, rock solid.

he click-stop iris is like having a built-in ND filter. At 1mm I can still train in daytime with NV, reducing overexposure. Adjustments are smooth and positive, not loose. Great accessory if you actually use your PVS-31s outside the safe.

What sold me was the improved IR illuminator. Compared to older models, the spill is wider and more usable in dark environments. Easy to toggle between modes with gloves on. The DBAL-A2 feels purpose-built for field work, rugged and reliable. Definitely recommended for anyone running NODs.

IR laser is crisp and bright under NVG, exactly what I needed for night games. The visible red laser works well indoors, though I prefer green outdoors for better contrast. Remote cable port is a huge plus, easy to activate without shifting grip. This is as close as you get to mil-spec without spending thousands.
