I use these things on several rifles with my BFG Vickers Slings because they are quiet, don't mar the finish, and stay put. I like them much better than HK-style hooks which are the opposite - noisy, scratch the finish, and can sometimes twist off. The only advantage of HK hooks is taking them on/off the rifle quickly, however, these can be removed and installed quickly with practice.
